AI-native Architect

Two positions

Clinical research is still far too fragmented. Hospitals, researchers, CROs and technology partners work with different systems and processes; data is collected again for every study and much of the work is done manually. In rare cancer, that problem becomes even more visible: small patient groups make collaboration, speed and reuse of data essential.

Yamicc is building the digital infrastructure to change that. We connect hospitals, data and existing technology in one platform that can support and automate more and more of the clinical trial lifecycle; from protocol and study setup to execution and structured data collection.

We do this from a distinctive position: as an independent foundation, together with leading hospitals and technology partners, with a small and highly experienced team of people from clinical research, product, architecture and technology.

Now we are moving from foundation to working platform. For that, we are looking for two AI-native Architects.

The role

We are looking for an architect and engineer in one person. Someone who can carry a technical domain independently: from problem and design to building, testing, rolling out and keeping it running in production.

You might work on our hospital connectivity and data ingest, the trial platform and workflows, the data platform, or on the development pipeline, validation and technical security controls.

You get a lot of freedom and responsibility in doing so. Our CTO and Principal Architect guard the wider architecture and technical direction together with you, but we do not work with a layer of detailed specifications and tickets. We are looking for people who can determine for themselves what a good answer to a problem is, and then build it as well.

AI is not a separate specialism in this. It is part of how we develop software. We want to be able to build, test and document faster, while at the same time our software is demonstrably secure, manageable and ultimately GxP-compliant.

What you will do

  • You carry a technical domain end to end: from problem and architecture to production and maintenance.
  • You design and build, within the wider architecture of the Yamicc platform.
  • You use AI structurally in your development workflow, for code, tests, analysis, migrations and documentation among other things.
  • You help build a development pipeline in which traceability, test evidence and change control are as much as possible part of the development process itself.
  • You work directly with our product and technology people and, where relevant, with hospital IT, researchers and technology partners.
  • You make choices that not only work today, but also hold up as the platform and the team grow.

What we are looking for

Five things matter to us:

  1. You have carried complex technical domains independently as a senior engineer.
  2. You can think at architecture level and build yourself. We are deliberately looking for that combination.
  3. AI-native development is a way of working for you. You know where AI speeds you up, but also where human judgement remains necessary.
  4. You take responsibility for what you deliver. Also when a large part of it came about with AI.
  5. You feel at home in a small, senior team. You do not need much process or management to translate direction into results.

Experience with regulated, medical or other quality-critical software is a strong plus. Curiosity about what it means to build software for clinical research is essential.

Do you not tick every box, but do you think you are exactly the kind of person we are looking for? Then we would like to hear from you too.

What you will find at Yamicc

You join at a moment when important choices are still being made. The core architecture is in place, the first applications and partnerships are being built, and in the coming period we will bring the platform to its first live use cases.

You work in a small, experienced team with a lot of substantive freedom, short lines of communication and direct access to the people and organisations we build for.

And ultimately we build this with one goal: making clinical research faster and more scalable, so that small patient groups too gain access to research that is currently too difficult or too expensive to organise.

Interested?

Above all, tell us what you have built, what responsibility you carried in it yourself, and why this phase of Yamicc seems interesting to you.
